Location Sharing Option Now on Google Maps|New Update

Google maps has released a new update for both Android and ios users. This new update will now allow users to share their location to their friends and families. When we activate the location sharing option. The feature will display your current location and will also display battery remaining on your phone to the friends and families whom all you've shared it with.
This option is similar to Whatsapp's location sharing option. We can also set the time till we want the location to be shared.

How to share location

To share your location to your friends and families first 

1. update Google maps to the latest version 10.40.2
2. Next inside Google Maps App click the menu button and choose Location sharing.
3. Next press the location sharing button.
4. Then you will be displayed contacts.
5. Select the contacts with whom you need to share.
6. Then set the timer.
7. That's it now Your friends and families will be able to see your location and your phone's battery level.
