CSK Champions of 2018 IPL

After 60 days 2018 IPL has come to an end, and it was CSK who won the tournament. The finals was played between CSK & SRH in Mumbai. CSK coming back after two years & they have won the tournament. It was Shane Watson  scored a century & helped CSK lift the trophy for the third time.

Toss

CSK won the toss & Dhoni decided to field first.

1st innings

SRH scored 178-6 in their 20 overs. Kane Williamson & Yusuf Pathan scored 47 & 45*. While the others Dhawan,Shakib,Brathwaite scored 26,23 & 21. It was Yusuf Pathan at the end who batted very well & made SRH post 178. For CSK Chahar & Ngidi were the two bowlers who had their economy rate below 7. Bravo & Thakur picked up two wickets each. Karan Sharma & Chahar picked 1 wicket each.

2nd innings

CSK needed 179 to win off the 20 overs. Watson scored 117. Only two wickets fell for CSK Faf du Plessis & Raina. Raina scored 32 off 24 deliveries which included 3 fours & a six. Faf scored 10 off 11 deliveries. It was Rayudu who scored the winning runs for CSK.

Maiden Over

In the second innings the first over was bowled by Bhuvaneshwar Kumar who started with the ball for SRH & he bowled a brilliant first over. He swung the ball in both ways. It was Shane Watson who was facing Kumar in the first over.

MoM

Shane Watson was awarded Man Of The Match award for his brilliant knock of 117 off 57 deliveries which included 11 fours & 8 sixes. Shane Watson had a strike rate off 205.26. Initially at the start of the second innings Watson took 9 deliveries to get off the mark. He batted excellently & won the match for CSK. He smashed all the bowlers all over the park except Bhuvneshwar Kumar & Rashid Khan. The highlight of Shane Watson innings is that he smashed 3 continuous sixes off Sandeep Sharma.

So match was won by CSK they have already lifted the trophy 2 times previously & this is the third time.
