Popular messaging application WhatsApp will end its services for some of the mobile devices after Dec 31,2017. WhatsApp is being used all over the world. The company has confirmed this on its official blog post.
BlackBerry OS,Windows phone 8.0,& BlackBerry 10 are the mobile device which will not have WhatsApp in it after December 31,2017.
WhatsApp first announced about these outdated mobile platforms in 2016. It said it will end support for these mobile platforms.
"This was a tough decision for us to make,but the right one in order to give people better ways to keep in touch with friends,family& loved ones using WhatsApp. If you use one of these affected mobile devices,we recommend upgrading to a newer Android, iPhone,or Windows Phone to continue using WhatsApp.
Nokia
Nokia Symbian S60 after June 30,2017
Nokia S40 after December 31,2017.
BlackBerry
BlackBerry OS & BlackBerry 10 after December 31,2017.
Windows Phone
Windows Phone 8.0 & older devices after December 31,2017.
Android phone
Android version 2.3.7 & older after February 1,2020.
If you are using any of these devices, then you must update your mobile to a new one to continue using WhatsApp.
