Nearly 23 people are arrested & seven petrol pumps have been seized in Lucknow. Owners of the petrol pump had remote control to control the flow of petrol. Police seized the pumps after they recovered 15 electronic chip & 29 remote controls. Ravinder who worked as electrician in Lucknow had developed this chip & sold it for RS 3000. After the chip is installed it would reduce the output by 6%. If a customer fills 1 litre of petrol he gets only 950 ml of petrol. Using this the petrol pump owners had been earning profit of 14 lakhs per month. The chip is sensor based & works like security locks in cars. Ravinder admitted that he has sold this chip to 1000 pumps across the state.
