Dindigul Venu Briyani|Food Review|

Dindigul is located 420kms southwest from Chennai. Dindigul is famous for temples and it is also famous for Briyani's. There are lot's of Briyani options in Dindigul like Dindigul Thalappakatti Briyani, Ponram Briyani, Venu Briyani. So Friday 17.01.2020  I was in Dindigul and I went to Venu Briyani for having lunch.

Location

Using Google maps I reached Venu Briyani at 2:00 in the noon and the restaurant was filled with a big crowd. The road itself was jammed and nearly 20 to 30 cars were present at time in the restaurant.
The parking in front of the restaurant was full and they even had second car park on next street (Walk-able distance) , and even in that also the parking was full. It is easy to find this place.

Atmosphere

The restaurant had banners and name boards. Then inside we have a big space where they sell desserts like Ice-Cream, Jigarthanda, Beeda. and then inside it we have the restaurant itself. While entering on right side we have the parcel counter and next to it we have the Kitchen. On left side we have bill-counter and opposite to it we have few chairs for waiting and then they had nearly 7 tables
(Non-A/C ). Then inside we have the A/C restaurant. Inside its quite spacious with more than 15 tables. The restaurant looked neat and had been recently renovated.

Crowd

After entering inside there was literally no place for standing. They had a big Queue standing from inside to outside the restaurant and inside they had 2 members for controlling the crowd. So after waiting for nearly 30 minutes it was time to enter and taste the Famous Briyani.

Menu

So after waiting for 30 min now it was time to eat.  It was fully crowded and as a result they had no time to to give menu cards and they told everything orally. As of the menu's they have Mutton, Briyani, Chicken Briyani, Plain Briyani, White rice for the main course and they have starter's like chicken 65, Mutton Brain fry and so on. For Briyani they have Quarter plate, half plate.
For starters and side dishes they actually give in a very small plate.

Taste

Taste was excellent, I bought Mutton Briyani. I ate 2 Quarters. They use Seeraga samba rice for Briyani. Along with Briyani I also tasted Mutton brain fry, Kudal, and Mutton chukka. Mutton chukka was actually special in this restaurant as they made it with eggs. The Briyani was not very spicy. It was normal only. On Average a person can have 2 Quarters of Briyani.

Pricing

Quarter Mutton Briyani is priced at Rs.123 for Quarter plate.
Plain Briyani is priced at Rs.108 for Quarter plate.
Mutton Chukka is priced at Rs.125.50
Brain fry is priced at Rs.132
Kudal is priced at Rs.113.20

Next time you visit Dindigul, make sure to taste in this Venu Briyani.
