TVS Apache RR 310s launch on December

Good news for all bike lovers,The much awaited TVS Apache RR 310S to launch in the country. Few days back the brochure had been leaked revealing color options, but now the launch of the bike is confirmed.We can now confirm that the production version of the Akula 310 will be launched in India next month.

TVS Motor Company have exclusively confirmed  that the Apache RR 310S launch will take place in December 2017. However, the exact date about the launch is not unknown. That said, we expect the company to launch the bike by mid of next month. TVS showcased the Akula 310 concept at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. The production version is tentatively named as the TVS Apache RR 310 S and comes equipped with features like twin-projector headlights and LED tail lamps. The bike gets a sporty fairing that is complimented by a large fuel tank and a raised up tail section. The lower tail section gets a shark fin like design while the bike also gets split seats. The bike is underpinned by a steel trellis frame and a separate subframe. While the overall design is sporty, the bike seems to get a committed riding position. 

The TVS Apache RR 310S is expected to come equipped with Pirelli Pilot Street tyres that will be shod on 17-inch alloy wheels. The bike will drop anchors with the help of disc brakes on at the front and rear with with radially mounted floating calipers and dual-channel ABS as standard. The Apache RR 310S will come equipped with upside-down forks at the front along with a mono-shock at the rear, which is adjustable for preload. The rear shocks will get a plastic cover which is mounted on an aluminum swing-arm. 

The TVS Apache RR 310S will rival the KTM RC 390, DSK-Benelli 302R and the Kawasaki Ninja 300.The TVS Apache RR 310S will be powered by the same 313cc, single-cylinder, DOHC, liquid cooled, fuel-injected engine that powers the BMW G310R. This engine produces a maximum power of 33.5 BHP at 9,500 RPM and a peak torque of 28 Nm at 7,500 RPM on the BMW G 310 R. Transmission duties are shouldered by a 6-speed gearbox. Knowing TVS and its racing heritage, the Apache RR 310S is expected to offer good power to weigh ratio and decent performance. That said, the TVS Apache RR 310S is expected to be priced in the range of INR 1.8 lakh to INR 2 lakh (ex-showroom).
