KTM RC 250 Spotted testing in India.

Good news for KTM fans who had been thinking why KTM has not launched its RC 250 in India, when they launched the new Duke 250. The 250 Duke is relatively new in the Indian market and now, it too will have a sports version the RC 250 is soon coming. 

RC 250 spotted testing

RC 250 had been spotted testing in India in Mumbai-Pune highway. RC 250 is in its production ready state & it was spotted without any camouflage. RC 250 looks similar to RC 390. It also shares the side-mounted exhaust that is seen on the RC 390 and the 250 Duke as well, however, the RC 250 may miss out on features like ride-by-wire and a slipper clutch.

Spec

The RC 250 will be powered by the same 248.8 cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine found on the 250 Duke, producing 29.58 hp at 9000 rpm and a maximum torque of 24 Nm at 7500 rpm. The engine will be paired to a six-speed transmission.
Reportedly, the RC 250 will also  feature ABS but keeping the new safety norms from the government KTM may give it an anti-lock braking system. The bike comes with twin channel ABS in the international market, and the ABS ring is present in the test mule as well. However, the person who took the spy shot had a word with the rider and as per his information, the bike misses out on ABS and slipper clutch. We will have to wait for it to launch. It will have a single 300 mm disc up front and a single 230 mm disc at the back. The fuel tank capacity is 13.5 litres. The instrument cluster is the same LCD unit that does duty in the 250 Duke. There is no official word about the launch of this motorcycle. Expect more details in the coming months.
