Amazon prime subscription introductory offer of Rs 499 ends on Oct 30

Amazon India had earlier this month revealed it would soon be removing the introductory offer, and it appears that time has come. Amazon introduced its premium Prime subscription in India back in July last year. At the time, the company revealed that the price for an annual Amazon Prime subscription in India would be Rs. 999, but as an introductory offer it would be available at Rs. 499. 
  For users who have yet to subscribe to Amazon Prime, doing so before Monday would be wise, if they want to save Rs. 500.

Offer ends on October 30

It's been offering the Prime subscription at this discounted price for over a year now, but the offer is going to end soon. This offer will be available only till this Monday October 30.

What about already subscribed Users?
 

Users who are already subscribed to this offer will not be able to subscribe this is because, you can't renew an Amazon Prime subscription in advance. Thus, current Amazon Prime members will be forced to renew their subscription at the full Rs. 999 price. In case for some users if it expires before Monday they can subscribe at Rs 499.

Amazon has been taking India very seriously, and not just in its fight with the current leading online marketplace in India - Flipkart. The Seattle-based company is also focusing on the hardware segment with its Kindle ebook readers, and recently brought its nearly complete popular Echo speaker range to the country, alongside introducing Amazon Prime Music in preview. It's been making deals on the video streaming front, including signing exclusive deals for Amazon Prime Video. The Amazon Prime Video service is currently bundled with the Amazon Prime subscription in India.
