Google's TPU

          Google unveiled a new microchip for certain types of AI project that require large amount of data. It is called as Tensor Processing Unit. They are application-specific integrated circuits developed specially for machine learning. Google does not plan to manufacture & sell the chip, but instead it will let companies rent access to the chip via google's cloud computing service. The new chip  performs two tasks related to AI projects. Google has also used these for Google street view text processing, & was able to find all the text in street view database in less than five days.
